Got New Calipers, But...

I got my new (second hand) rear calipers as my ones were siezed and fitted them today. All well and good no real issues, I'm now waiting for new discs to come on Tuesday. But when I started the car, I came into a bit of bother.

First of all it just did nothing at all. Since it was the first time in a couple of weeks I have tried to start it the starter was sticking, a couple of knocks with a hammer soon sorted that out and I thought I was on my way.

Then when I went round to the front of the car there was a steady drip of oil coming from just behind the bumper, it's coming from the oil cooler somewhere it was pretty dark by then and I was freezing so decided to give up for the night <_< .

I'm kinda hoping its just due to pipes contracting in the cold and not being used for a while, it looks like metal pipes going into some kind of rubber pipe held together with a jubilee clip. Am I dreaming? Anyone ever had anything like this happen? or is it more likely to be perished/cracked rubber pipes?

I hope its nothing too serious, like a burst oil cooler <_<

I had that a short while ago, turns out it was a pipe going to something in the front, just needed to be chopped at the end and shortened as the top end had knackered away abit, but im sure its just that your oil pipe is just a little loose or warn, mine was letting 4litres out within 3-4hours!!!

I got a decent look at it in the light today, That's pretty much what it was, the end was worn. A quick chop and a jubilee clip and it's all sorted. Had to be conservative with the chopping however, there's not exactly a lot of slack.

Roll on Tuesday, I want my new discs! :D
