Oil Pressure Switch (red)

I have an m reg Toyota estima with 2.2turbo diesel engine The red oil pressure light comes on now and again and goes off this can happen any time hot or cold .Oil pressure is ok and oil level is fine both in sump and expansion tank is their a drive shaft to the oil pump that is subject to wear? and is it posssible to change the oil pump without a major engine strip down.Done 178000kms any other ideas please help!! oil pressure switch has been renewed.

When was the oil last changed, and what grade did you use, also what filter.

is it the pressure or level light as a friend of mine had one and his level light came on even though the top up tank was full turned out to be a faulty level switch.

i would reccomend gettin a mechanical pressure guage connected to check actual pressure
