Went to check out a turbo on Saturday, was a Cat D car but appeared in very good condition. Only thing that puzzled me was the turbo which didn't seem to kick in fully until 4000rpm. Seems strange for a standard turbo. The garage said the previous owner may have adjusted it but there is no actuator on it. Any ideas?

if theres no actuator.... its probably nackered.. :lol:

the actuators there to control the boost pressure! if it doesnt boost till 4k id expect big problems

and if this garage have said such things.... id walk away... very quickly... in fact... RUN!
