So having changed from 13s to 15s I find that the steering feels really light and skittish... almost tramlining on some minor roads with poorer quality surface..

I checked the tyre pressure and it is 32 PSI.. is this right..does anyone have any definite idea?

Is there any way to have a more weighted feeling to the steering, like changing to a heavier power steering fluid ?

Will it just take a while for the tyres to bed in and scrub some 'newness' off the treads.

Anybody else experience this???

As for the pressure, if you open the glove box I found a sticker telling you at which pressure the tyres should be at for different loads.

With tyres, you can get hard and soft compounds, you may be used to a soft tyre (provide smoother, softer and quiter ride) and this new one maybe hard compound (sportier, faster but louder). Yes they will need time to wear in, it will also depend on the quality of the tyre which is why when my dunlops run out I will possibly fit Bridgestones, give them time to wear in and see how it goes from there is all I can suggest

Yes, there should be a sticker, although this can be tweaked to personal preference to some extent. 28psi is what I use on my Sera.

I once saw a Sera that was running 52psi! It was awful to drive (and pretty scary!)

I trust you made sure the offset of your 15" wheels was within Toyota limits?

i'd say check the psi, i normally have it inbetween 28-30psi and i have 195/45r16 's. altho i know what u mean by the steering feeling light, all my new tyres i have put on do the same thing for the first few hundered miles... they should be fine whan they scrub in.

I don't know what the offset is for the wheels, but they were supplied by Rimstock specifically for the Paseo (Cynos) so I am assuming that they were correct.

By sight they appear to be correct as the wheels do not protrude from the arches any more than the originals( even though the new ones are 7 " wide)

Would there be a stamp on the wheels with the offset value?

I don't appear to have any sticker in my glovebox ( possibly because it is a Jap import)

Tyres are Kumho Ecsta 712s I don't know what kind of compound they are.
