Overdrive Switch Not Working

hi i have an Aristo, same shape as a lexus gs300,

when i press the overdrive button nothing happens,

the car just does not wish to change into overdrive, could anyone shed some light on my problem.

is the engine warmed up?

they have an over ride switch that block OD if the engine is too cold?

at least mine has

OT - Nice Aristo gotta luv those rims.

As the post above well from experience not from a Aristo tho, same wit tiptronic gotta wait 4 it to warm up otherwise wont let ya into first gear
