Hiya!

I've just searched the forum for advice on where I can get a new rear wiper for my Yaris. It was quite helpful - (gonna try the turning the blad around trick tomorrow when I can face going out in the cold again...) - but a lot of people referred to a Mr T. Am I being really dense?? Who is Mr T?

Before anyone else has a go - its an easy mistake to make, especially if your new...

Mr T is a reference to the Toyota Dealerships - Mr Toyota..

You could try Toyota, and blag a free rear wiper like I did once.... ;)

Or you could go to Halfords or somewhere like that, which, if you cant get it free, will be a lot cheaper I'd imagine....

We nearly all do that at first, mate.

I thought "This Mr T does a lot of work for these TOC guys. Bet it's down South though".

Oh and even at Toyota, Wiper Blades, not that expensive. Rear one is the complete unit though, I think.

Hahaha - lots of Mr T jokes could follow but I'll refrain and stick to the thread

It is a very valid question, it took me a few moments to suss who/what Mr T was way back when. My rear blade needs replacing too - makes a horrible screeching noise when used. Just never got round to it really. (Lazy I know, plus scared at how much Mr T will charge :o).

Ah not too bad, I'll try and get down there this weekend - cheers.

I was going to ask when mine went in for it's service today but I was a little miffed with them ....... I think I need a new one but Mr T's monkeys don't think so!

Let us know  !

When i needed a new rear wiper i went to my local car accessossassary shop and got a new piece of rubber.. took the arm of the car, undid the rubber, the guy in the shop cut a piece to size and fitted to the arm.. the arm back on the car as good as new.. was only a couple quid.

That's what I did but it keeps sliding out ........ as there's no place on the blade for it to lock in  !

Maybe I need to get a different blade?

The rear wipers on all Yaris' are rubbish 'cos the spring that holds them against the rear window isn't strong enough. I never use mine 'cos I don't see the point! If I could afford it, I'd get it removed!
