As people asked and I was in the middle of replying here is my reply..

I feel the thread shouldnt have been locked.. it was happy enough and with opinions...unles of course it was taken too personally...

I think people on here need to be taken down a peg or two - how would they feel if they came onto a forum and were ridiculed for their choice of mod. Its like a pack of wolves - all in for the kill.

I mean come on guys, we all have ideas - how would you feel to be belittled for one of yours?

Indeed Em.... I think some people take it a little -too- far... we are all entitled to our opinions... thats fair enough.... but to actually just post something you -know- is harsh, derogatory and in a lot of ways ... uncalled for is well... un-!Removed!-called for :P

Believe me the UK is ahead in styling compared to here...

i'll make my point - its not fair of any of us who each have our own tastes (usually ending up as a battle between p1s and 2s) to lay judgement on the choices, however stupid, of these people

Yeah... we can advise, even suggest -why- is 'frowned upon' but some comments that simply laugh at people or say 'you are joking right?'.... why? really... why?

everyone is entitled to an opinion, but not entitled to post spam in the wrong forum ;)

Simply Teegs it has built up over time... a few contributing threads, a few discussions, some arguements... etc... it has been an accumulation of things... this forum has gone very much downhill on this, and I thought TOC was better than that... guiding people without the need for sarcastic and derogatory comments...

Its one thing today.... another thing tomorrow.... I truely think it should be npped in the bud before more people join this 'pack of wolves' (thanks DA) one person flames then another joins in.... another may think the same and think.. hey while im here I'll add in my bit too... and away we go.. a simple request mired in a thread of tat and sarcastic comments, insults and finger pointing....

'if you do it you are a max muppet or a chav' thats really grown up isnt it? and I have noticed this kind of phrase popping up a lot... so by the 'masses' standards you are damned if you do, and well, surely you were wanting to in the first place else you wouldnt have asked and so now cant do what you wanted.. so damned if you dont...

Thank you for your time.... I only hope that forums do remain a place where people can exchange views and discuss things in an adult manner... without someone coming in and censoring them simply because they think its 'silly'

Ironically it was just after someone said everyone's entitled to their opinion. :D

I was just about to post on your thread....

....and was also busy posting on another thread earlier that got locked for, in my opinion, no good reason.

I understand why threads discussing illegal activities are (sometimes) locked, but not a thread like the one you raised.

As has been said, this is a public forum JJ.

You are free to be angry with people's comments, but people have a right to their opinions, and they will not always match others opinions.

Personally, I'm not a modding person when it comes to cars, especially something as small as a Yaris.

I detest things like Neons, etc, on cars, and think they are chavvy.

People ask for responses from others about what they think about their car."

People will express their opinions, and as said before, it won't always be what the person asking, is looking for.

Modifications to cars can be subtle and tasteful I'll agree, but not everyone will like one mod or another. That's what makes people and their cars interesting.

If we all said "yeah, that'll look cool," it'd be a pretty boring place.

If anyone is upset by a comment they receive after posting a "what do you guys think of this thread," then I'm sorry, but don't expect everyone to agree. ;)
