Cold Weather

Ok what might seem like a stupid question for some of u experts, but here goes……

Is it normal for the engine to be much noisier than usual on cold start in this freezing weather? It seems to be a bit rattle-y and squicky until it is warm (I think it’s the cam belt making this high pitch sqeekyness, not sure about rattley-ish noise) ??

Incase you hadn’t noticed im a very technical supra owner??? Rattley-ish + sqeeky noise??? Sorry don’t know much about engines.

It can be a combination of things, and is not uncommon....

My 7M sounds no more rattly then usual <_<

Check out oilmans post in general!

hi mate

just make sure you change your oil regularly, make sure its good quality oil too

the squeeky sound is probably your fan belt tensioner bearing running a bit dry
