Just Been For A Ride On The Worlds Fastest Sofa

the company i work for hired this for a float in the Lord Mayor's show a couple of weeks ago. the owner brought it along today for us employees to sit in the passenger seat for a quick ride round a couple of roads. it is the sofa that was featured on Top gear a couple of series back. so if you saw a sofa driving along in swindon, you are not going mad. other drivers expressions were amusing.

he owns a couple of things like a shed, and is working on the world largest and fastest shopping trolley. this sofa cost £50,000. it is an old mini's chassis and goes up to 87mph. we only went 30mph though. it is fully road legal with license plates, 3 seat belts, tax etc etc.

made my week this!

The baking tray is the steering wheel, the can is the handbrake, the chocolate bar is the gear stick (auto) and a couple of pot plants, a lamp and a clock for good measure

Reminds me of the sofa I saw at Le Mans.... it went whizzing around the campsite.. complete with headlights, rear light and indicators... and run on what looked like two minimotos :P Class
