Avensis 2002 Brakes

I`ve had my Avencis for 1 year & it`s now done circa 39K miles.

Ever since I bought it, I`ve noticed the brakes seem to work fine but there`s a sort of noise (a bit like the pads are trying to grip but keep slipping) when you brake, particulrly at slower speeds.

Dealer has looked at it twice & skimmed disks, changed pads etc but noise always comes back - it is a little better after coming from dealership.

I wonder if this is a general issue relating to eg. pad material used on Avencis range ? It just sounds like the pads are slipping slightly on the disks when trying to clamp the disk.

Anyone else come across this ?

Dont think so - no juddering whatsoever. It`s as if the pads are squeaking when trying to grip the disk

This is what I was worried about as brakes seem to work well just the noise. I wonder if it`s anything to do with the pad material ?
