I thought it would be the same.

£100 buys plenty of shopping here in stoke where me and spotipus live! I spent the most I've spent the other day £80 and that overfilled the boot in the celica!

Having said that the celica boot is bigger than most family hatch back boots

plus its a 1.8 isnt it

no my friend the gt is a 2.0 and obviously its not a gt4 type performance but it is VERY far from being slow as other gt owners will tell u it will cruise very nicely at 120mph and ive had her just over 140 without killing her or banging on the rev limiter.

Yeah i know the gt is 2.0... i had one

I just thought i remembered you saying yours was a ST

its the same size , only difference being a strut brace across the rear struts, the interior in the boot is exactly the same as the st202 down to the very last screw  .also 100 pounds of shopping dont fill that many bags. :)

sorry, no it isnt. The GT boot is much deeper, aswell as having no strut brace.

Spotipus - You say you are just buying the Supra to sell on... Have you got any details???

I might be after something a bit faster around march/april time. I'm thinking of selling the Celica and the Thundercat and buying something for the money I get and just paying one insurance instead of two. A supra would fit the bill!

Goodluck with the sale. It's not my cup of tea, and the veilside kit isn't to everyone's taste though. Like someone else said, you are likely to get more money selling the parts separately and the car standard.

I thought the GT4 boot was shallower than the GT as the rear diff would need to be under the spare wheel well.

Adam's right about the N/A auto supra - a 5 speed manual is a much better choice, especially for someone who's used to a manual celica.

A LWB transit? Now that truely is a cool set of wheels. :D Assuming it's any colour other than white, of course.

Don't worry about what anyone else thinks of your cars, as long as you like them, that's what matters.

put your toys back in the pram will you :lol::lol:

to me its the same depth , the black plastic trims in the boot all meet the carpet as they did in my st202 and are exactly the same size length wise, also the boot floor is inline with the rear seats when they are folded , if i'm wrong so it be .it aint no biggy to me.:lol:

and just so we all know i dont wear burberry i am just a bit short of a mid life crisis, and i didnt get the gt4 because i have a family who like to eat and lets be completely honest you cant get £100 worth of food in the boot of a gt4 unless u stick it in the back seat.

performance and practicallity as long as i avoid multi storey car parks that is : :ffs:

oh and a quick one for my friend gt4 TICK TOCK :D :D :D

I have a Gen 5 GTR convertable that will cruise at 120 all day long and is good for 145.. and its off the shelf. Ok its been de-limited but I havent needed to spend shed loads on it for the power.

I have more room in my boot than I do in whats supposed to be a back seat.. you ever been in a Celica Cabrio mate... may as well just be a 2 seater..

To be honest with you, I think mine will turn more heads than yours all day long.. he he he

Good luck with your sale...

Your right its not.. Tomtom is running about 2-4 mph slower than the Celica.. :P

6K no way!

2.5K perhaps.

take of the mods sell em on here that return her to standard. IS the only way to make money. Selling a car with mods is a mugs game.

normally sky you come out with sensible suggestions :D

let me just run through a COUPLE of problems with your suggestion!!!

take off the back and front ends of vehicle!!!!

now the small miniscule insignificant problem with your suggestion!!!!

so i replace the front and back with the old ones i took off

and the rear spoiler sideskirts and bonnet :D

what sort of money do you think i would get for a two tone standard car mate :censor:

i had it resprayed after the kit was fitted :censor: in CUSTOM SILVER!!! someone may possibly have offered me a couple of quid for comedy value

PROBABLY ONLY COST ME ABOUT £1000 TO GET IT BACK TO STANDARD :censor: Heres what she used to look like not exactly standard then either

ive seen a 94 2.0 GT go for 1250 and it was in really good nick, if you can find some1 thats after that car then you could fetch 6k its just finding some1 thats the problem as 6k is a lot of money and a lot of people wont want to buy a car thats already doen up because they dont realise how much it actualy costs. What I usually work on is what a standard car would cost, plus the cost of your kit, plus your wheels (but not tyres), dont include any paint or labour costs and that gives you the sort of price people will pay quickly. Mine has cost me nearly 15g (inc car) to get it where it is and ive only had it a year but I dont think Id get more then 8.5 - 9.5 grand for it. If you hold out long enough some1 might fall in love with it and have to have it, good luck mate.
