Radio Facia

Hi,

I've just bought a 1995 celica GT ST202, imported from Japan to dublin. The import radio won't work here in Ireland so I need to change the radio.

I've bought the radio and leads but I can't find a facia to fit the car panel. I can only find facia for up to 94 and from 2000 onwards.

Has anybody else had this problem?

What's the solution?

Thanks

Mark

Try Halfords they do a wide range of THESE

or contact AUTOLEADS Even eBay may have something that suits your needs.

what facia ???? you should not need a one , only if you are going from double din to single din , then you need a blanking pocket to fill the hole.all you need is a fm band expander , which will give you uk stations but the numbers wont tally on the display  both of which i have if you send me a pm.

also the small trim that sits around most single din units wont fit on either in the st202.

OMG! Finally some one with the same problem with me.

The Problem is finding a pocket that fits the 6G. I've search high and low but had no luck finding a pocket that fits well. Most are cornered but the Celica is curved around the corners.

I've gone from a double to a single din head unit and now left with a blank gap. A fascia would ook better than a pocket andthe 5G has ones with "Celica" or "Toyota"Written on it but I'm not sure if it will fit our 6G imports. PLS tell me what you did in the end. I've still got a gaping hole.

I got this one in my gen 6 GT4.

Autoleads Toyota pocket

In sits behind the centre console trim which fits flush on top of it.

Has no one contacted a Toyota dealer yet?????

I contacted them and payed about £20 for a toyota original single din pocket, is great for the mobile phone and other crap I choose to put in there as storage on the 6th gen is sparce.

Hope that helps. Otherwise if you want a blanking plate you can have my old one with toyota ebosed on it if you come get it.

hopefully that one is a copy of the offical toyota one which I brought from Mr T. make sure it has the screw hole points molded in to the pocket so it can be screwed into place otherwise it will rattle about.

Ahhh man! I would have come whoop that blank plate of you as well. But a hole is still a hole. I still don't like the idea of having a tray. :(

It's similar but not excactly the same as the toyota one. Has the moulded in screw holes on the sides so held in nice and tight.

Hate to say it mate but that one is listed as being: Vauxhall Corsa, Agila, Omega 05/2000> Black facia

The one for celica is FP-11-01, which has the correct mounts/screw holes on the sides to fit the celica mounting. Which is the one I put up a link for.

Never know It might fit, but probably not as it's supposed to.

daktari didnt recommend that model, he was merely showing you Halfords did that particular product , for you then to search out 1 for a celica.that corsa one wont fit a celica in a million years.

Just received and fitted the pocket that GT4 Booster sent me, took 6 minutes and 45 seconds to fit!

Looks much better and gives me somewhere to stick a few bits and bobs. The screw holes on that one fit perfectly and there are even a few bumps which clip into holes to makes sure you can't get it in the wrong place.

If anyone needs to know how to install it - it goes like this:

1 Pull the trim off round the gear lever,

2 undo the two screws that you reveal

3 Pull the main surround off

4 undo 4 screws that hold the radio cage in place

5 undo the four screws that hold the Toyota Blanking plate in place

6 put pocket in place

7 put 4 screws in

8 replace main surround

9 put 2 screws in

10 clip gear lever surround back in

done - all in 10 easy steps!
