Alpine Cda-9812rb And How To Connect It To Battery

I am just about to buy one of these, but upon looking through the manual I can see that it requires a connection to the car's Battery. I have a P1 T-sport and have no idea how to go about connecting this up, any help would be much appreciated. I assume there is already a hole from the engine bay to inside the car for the wiring loom, is there space for an additional wire and what kind of cableing would I require. As I said I'm pretty clueless so please be gentle :P

The instruction manual is here and the installation guide starts on page 42 of the PDA. I really want this head unit but this is scaring me away from it.

Cheers.

yes you do

some top end alpine models have a direct Battery feed with a condensor to provide it purer power rather than hoping off the existing system

just run a lead though the bulkhead to the batter, make sure you have a fuse within 6 inch of the Battery for safety :)
