Gt?

Hey,

Probably a silly question but I'm new to the celica.

I'm looking at a japanese import celica 1995, which the dealer claims is a GT. As its an import there are not Documents with it. How do I know if the car is a GT?

Is there a GT stamp anywhere or does the car have any special feature that are only for GT models?

Thanks

There isn't a japanese 'GT' as such. There's an SS1, an SS2 and an SS3.

The SS1 is 138bhp.

The SS2 and 3 are 172bhp: pretty much exactly the same as our GT

and some late SS3's have the beams engine which is 200bhp.

It'll look somthing like:

Link: 3SGE

(Without the aftermarket air filter)

the ss1 is an ok car too with its punchy 3sfe engine , its really on par with the 3sge in terms of performance , except top end where the 3sge will come into its own.

dont be put off by the ss1 only the engine is different from the ss2

:yes::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for the help lads but I'm totally new to this and I don't know what 3sfe/3sge means. I don't even know the horsepower.

All I know is it does look like the pic MIP sent (thanks) and has 2000 twin cam 16V written on engine block.

So what exactly does this mean. I need to know for insurance!!

Thanks again
