Right finally got round to looking at mine. If you look form the drivers footwell it's abit easier, on top of the ecu is a stuck on peice of clear plastic, clear off all the dust that has accumulated on top. Then you sound be able to see a black label with Toyota written on it in white followed by loads of other randomness that probably means something to some in japan and a barcode.

Hope that helps :) . Failling that whip the thing out and look at it. Easiest way to to undo the 2 nuts (one each side) holding the bracket to the transmission tunnel, then whip the whole lot out and then remove the ecu from the bracket, as theres screws you can't get too round the front mounting the ecu to the bracket.
