Just picked up my new Avensis T4 D4D with the extra colour Sat Nav. It certainly looks the dogs danglys but I don't think it has traffic avoidance? Seems a bit silly really, upgrading to this and not having that functionality - can anyone confirm if this is definitely the case?

Otherwise I think the car is a gem!

Am 99% positivethat this is the case although they are pretty quick at plotting a new route, what I did with the last sat nav system was if I hit traffic just start driving in what I guessed to be the right direction and let the Sat Nav work ouot the new route for me :D

Thanks for the tip and for confirming that this was the case.

I'll give this a try next time I am stuck on the M6!

One other question that I have - does anyone agree that the volume on the Sat Nav is not loud enough? A colleague of mine also has the new Avensis with the colour Sat Nav we both agree that the volume could be louder. If you're on the motorway you could have the stereo volume at around 30 and you can struggle to hear the directions being read out...

Any thoughts?
