Hi all,

Just had car serviced and checked for worrying knocking noises,

garage says I need N/S/F Shock and rear antiroll bushes (not sure about my description),

I have to keep original springs because of clearance issue in my garage :(

If you vote for uprated could you say which you'd choose

Koni adjustables or KYB.

thanks in advance

Richard K.

If I had the money i'd go for the Konis, but i didnt so i went for KYB from Fensport, i did lower mine at the same time though, made the ride a fair bit harsher but it corners a lot better now :D

I lowered my GXI but didn't to the shocks and now I wish i did. Have just changed the back ones and it made such a difference.

if your planning on keeping the car for a while uprate them but the ride will suffer. i need to replace my front two after crimbo, i think i will go with the konis as the long term plan involves a engine conversion at some point (in the very distant future at the mo  ) so adjustable damping would be useful. but if your planning on keeping the car as is go for the KYBs their supposed to be quite good and not badly priced either

I'm planning to change mine in New Year on my Gti as couple of them knackered. i'm going for Konis (SSK fully adjustable 40mm), for £430 hope they worth it!!

Ive just fitted the koni shocks to my rolla and it makes one hell of a difference cornering, the ride is hard though, ive got apex springs at a 35mm drop too which hardens it up more. But if you're keeping the car a while go for the koni shocks, well worth the money!!!
