Hello,

I have a MR2 turbo, with approximately 63,000 miles on the clock. All regular maintenance has been performed on the car, and it is running great. Yesterday i put on a HKS Super Drager Exhaust. My friend noted that under heavy acceleration, small bits of dark smoke are coming from the exhaust. Do you think this is due to the exhaust? (Maybe the exhaust has some effect on the fuel/air ratio and it is running rich...or maybe due to loosing the cat?) Or do you think that it signifies potential problems with the turbo? (I don't have an aftermarket boost gauge on yet...but it does appear to be getting full boost on the stock gauge) To my knowledge this did not occur until after i installed the exhaust...the car still runs great though. smooth idle...strong acceleration...

Thanks!

just a bit of soot, nothing to worry about. turbos run rich so you get soot and when you boot it it simply gets shot out.
