Yaris Has Gone

Time had come to get rid of my tsport for a cheaper car due to mortgage etc. :(

i have gone back to a renault clio. 3 and half year old renault sport clio 172 in flame red.

15K of car for 6 grand.

i miss the build quality of the yaris and will miss the dealer service but its nice to have something that bit more dynamic for the open roads.

also whilst i am on here, i have got a air filter for sale on eBay.

this is the one i bought of knightrider not too long ago.

Sorry to see you have had to sell. Them clios are nice, is it the newer shape one? What does it go like compared to the t sport?

yeah i was sorry to see it go too.

the clio is one of the new shape ones. mk2 phase 2.

Both very different cars.

prefered the look of the yaris but clio has imho nicer wheels

seats were better in yaris but clio ones are leather and suade.

dash was nicer on yaris but the clio one is made af better material and doesn't mark as easy.

brakes are better on clio as is the suspension, handles like on rails.

the rest is all the toys on the clio like auto wipers and auto xenon headlights and also climate control.

6 disc auto changer as standard.

engine has a lot more poke but so it should seeing as it's .5 litre bigger.

the clio feels the same through the revs as the yaris but once the cams kick in at 4k there is no contest.

was surprised by insurance was only 175 quid more for the year

LOL too true. they all rattle like a skeleton having a w**k in a biscuit tin. thats why the prices drop like mad from new but second hand are cheap as chips and the prev owners have the hasstle of getting them sorted under warrenty

Its a shame.....

but I've always preferred the Clio Sport 172 over "normal" Clios anyway - hopefully it'll give you many years of happy motoring mate!
