Gt4 Engine In A Starlet

i would love a big GT4 engine in my starlet to give it a big push but i dont not know what model GT4 to get it from ?

best one is the ST205 but your gonna need huge pockets cos the starlet engine bay aint that big. just fits in the rolla

sarcasm aside but isnt the starlet front wheel drive , therefore it would be pulled- i'd of thought it would be cheaper and easier just to buy a gt4 .

I have a 3s-ge 2.0 engine and gearbox and loads of other bits like ecu and loom, pm me if your interested.

gonna have to dissagree, the REV 3 MR2 engine is much better for this conversion as it's designed for the smaller engine bay. it's already been done at least once in malasia or somewhere like that, but then those guys are just plane nuts!!!

Deffo can be done, and has been done.

Get Rev3 3sgte with mr2 gearbox :thumbsup:

rev 3 MR2 and GT4 engine are basicaly the same and sizewise are exactly the same size. as leeky said get an ST-205 engine and rev3 MR2 box. if you use the MR2 lump you will have a lot of parts to swap to use in FWD format. eg water elbow, power steering pump and bracket, alternator and braket, belt tensioner and bracket engine mount etc.

if you want any advice just ask, never done a starlet but its all basicaly the same

Thanx Guys for all your info it has been taking into consideration, everyones said to me a 2.0. rolla engines are better to put in my sort of car cos the bay it self are very similar can fit on egsisting mounts.

2.0 rolla engines????? AFAIK they havent done a rolla with a 2.0 lump, other than a diesel
