I was after the same info. I think the setup for my steels (on a 2005 Avensis D4D 5dr) is:

ET: 45

PCD: 5 x 100

Centre Bore: 54.1mm

Width: 6.5in

Diam: 16.0in

I think you can get away with an ET of 35 to 45 as you said but watch the Centre Bore. I think you can get shims to space out any difference but personally, I'd rather have the bore the right size to start.

I'm after some alloys too. Just standard 16x6.5 Toyota ones really. Nothing blingy! ;) Just don't want to pay dealer prices! :o

Cheers,

Jim

My 2001 avensis came with 15" alloys which are ET39.... the 17" alloys which you find on the newer shape are ET35.... the 16" alloys are ET45... so it really depends on what size your after.....

Have a look on eBay, there's plenty on there including genuine Toyota ones.

Hey Jim, how about these ;) they're about a fifth of the dealer price for 4.

Year - 96 onwards

Offset - et35 to et45

PCD - 5x100

7.5J

Bore - 54.1

Example size.... 5x100 17x7.5 et38

The bore hole IS 54.1.. but most aftermarket alloys have a larger bore and use Centralizing rings to convert it. (thats the plastic/metal inserts that go into the centre of the wheel)

Saw your post in the last few minutes of the auction, but I was "overuled" by my wife! ;) I've seen them on eBay a couple of times too. The auction holder must be getting some duff buyers or something.

Cheers,

Jim
