Right. i'm planning on having some work done...

Now, do I debadge like in both pics and do I remove the spoiler?!!

In fact, do you think I should even use the facelift lights?!!

(apologies for the rubbish photoshop)

The first Supra that caught my eye was spoilerless and i've always liked them that way, what do you think?!!

Cheers,

Mike

I agree about the spoiler. I never got to see a MK iv without one till last year and I loved it ever since. In fact, the one I saw actually threw me off first glance, I thought it was a supercar of some kind, because it looked so different.

I think it looks excellent when coupled with a nice set of bumpers and side skirts. Everyone always whacks on great big !Removed! tea trays to the back of theirs, so when you see one without, it looks different, and a lot more classy.

I think, if do-able, that centre light at the top should be deleted too and flushed over. It'd make the back look more smooth.

modifying is an entirely personal choice

personally i would prefer to cut off me left nad pickle it in yack urine and consume it with a nice radioactive garnish than take off the spoiler

but heh thats only my opinion :D

Personally, the car looks a bit limp without a spoiler ..

So to beef it up you need a Border-esque front (with a lot of "weight" at the bottom), chunky skirts and a massive exhaust ..

Just my opinion mind. And then it'll look a lot sleaker.

opinions is what i want!

i know exactly what youre saying but to me its just the toss up between

very over the top rude boy/sporty spoiler

or

limp/subtle spoilerless beast!

(bearing in mind it's a supra either way and i'll love it every day)

narm saying?

it's confusion central for me!

the simple fact is, if i ever plan to do it i should do it now along with some other essential work...

HEEEEEEEELP!!!

i hear you and you're certainly not the first to say it, it's going the other way on the mkivsupra club opinion poll, for the record me mam agrees with you too!!!

Lose the spoiler!!! They have always looked crap!!!!!!

While you are at it I'd remove the pretty useless rear wiper and the naff looking antenna......

You don't need a big kit to pull off spoilerless..

aero sides, and the front lip that goes with them and it'll look sweeeeeeeeeet..

Facelift tail lights look nice, as do facelift fronts ;)

You'll get very divided opinions about the spoiler...

I think spoilerless looks a bit naff. It's part of the integral design of the MKIV - remove it and 9/10 people will just think it's missing something.

Although some think it's excessive - when you look at the rear of the car, eye level, it's perfectly shaped around the rear screen and almost disappears. A good piece of design imo. Plus it's there for a reason

As everyone has already said, modifying your car is totally different from person to person.

My Supra has no spoiler and i think it looks good, in fact people often say they like the look without the supra. I think it depends what kind of look your going for. I think the spoiler is great and looks agreesive/sporty, i think spoilerless cars look more stylish (in my opinion!!!!!).

Here are a couple of photos of my supra

In my opinions Supras are so well designed that they look good pretty much all the time! only seen a couple i dont like! (normally modded so much they dont look like supras!)

Good luck in your decisions

Plus it's there for a reason

Not really relevant at the speeds I travel at, thought it was more designed for mid 100mphs?

I know what you're saying about the looks though, after a day of 'researching' I think i'm gonna keep it

To be honest, my Supra fits not having a spoiler, but thats possibly as it didnt have one originally. If it did, i might have a different opinion.

AS your already have a spoiler, id keep it. I would say the best thing i did was change the wheels. Apart form that its 100% stock.

Im not sure about badges tho, i always assume when i see a debadged car the owner wasnt proud of their car model! Like i see low end BMWs debadged (so you dont know if its a 316 or 325 etc). But i guess it makes it look cleaner. Its not a big change and easy to change back.

Have fun

i'd go with a de Badge, have u thought about putting a trd rear spoiler on instead???? dont like the mkiv without a spoiler at all....always looks like something is missing.

p.s. mkiv envy is a crime! stop bitching about them! u know who u are!
