I've been driving around with the same offside front knocking sound for months. Was told it's extremely dangerous!

It's going in my local Toyota World tomorrow and it's costing £450 to fix.

!Removed! expensive this Celica lark :!Removed!:

i really dont know why the even put superstrut on the 202's , left over parts most likely , the 202 dont really need it . IMHO

one things for sure once its done = no more knocking for 60 to 70 k mate.

just out of interest what are they changing for £450

lee if you get stuck , it will be with 1 bolt , it dont clear the sump , either loosen the 3 or 4 sub frame bolts and lever it down till you get the bolt out , or you can jack up the engine so i am told ?

i had the knock , cured mine instantly.:thumbsup:

Aha - so that's what the knocking noise is !! I tried about 5 or 6 ST185 CS before buying my present one, and they ALL had a knocking noise from the front suspension............

...........and now, 5 years later, mine has started, :crybaby: (although only a slight knock at the mo and with 66k on the clock !).

Some of the figures i`ve seen bandied about for geting the supestrut sorted would reduce me to tears. :crybaby:
