Sidelight Bulb Size

Does anybody know what size the sidelight bulb is on the new model avensis. Noticed one gone this morning and I want to order LED type off eBay before I go home.

I'm putting LED type in as I do not want to have to replace them again as the covers are a nightmare to take off.

Cheers and Happy Holidays all.

If you are talking about side turning signs, it's peace of cake to take it of. If you follow instruction arrow from your manuals you'll find it very easy. Pray not to have to change the front lights bulbs, because that's the one that is nightmare.

I've changed bulbs in my turning signs and put those chrome ones to avoid that yellow effect. Took me about 10 sec each to change. I've also changed H7 in front lights to 8000K ones from Philips. Took me whole morning and some skin from my hands to do it :crutchy: (there are lot of posts about changing H7 in new shape Avensis).

Cheers

Bosnjo, I mean the parking lights in front (first position on light switch).

I have also changed my H7's to 8k (lots of skin from knuckles gone also) but I still find that the light intensity is not as good. It is a lot better than the halogens but for example the fog lights give better visability. What do you think of them ? The front lights on the older model were 10 times better on dims.

I have put 'all weather' bulbs in my dipped beams, ansd they still a bit dim, also suffered from skinned knuckles and an excess of swearing. Where to go next??

Fogs DO seem brighter, but that could be just lens pattern, ie fogs are not designed to project a long distance, only illuminate cats eyes and curbs in front of you.

Well, I like fog lights but they are short range and forbidden in Portugal, except during the fog conditions (in the south, where I live, there is no fog ever).

Parking lights bulb is easy to change because it's not in the same beam as H7. It means there is no need to take those covers off.

Cheers, haven't looked at the where the parking lights are yet, waiting on bulbs to arrive.

Fog lights are also illegal to use here and I don't use them. Just tried them one night on the back roads to compare against dipped beam. Lights are the only complaint I have about this car.
