Thats it. When I grow up (i.e. get sacked and lose my company vectra) I am going to buy a Celica.

As anyone who read my sig or I upset in this forum will be aware my better half owns a GT which I get to drive occasionally :)

Thing is we live in Devon just of the M5 so most of our driving is on good straightish roads. BUT...

... The Missus is Welsh and we had to visit the mother in law. Today I drove the GT down the A5 and through to Porthmadog. Quite frankly it blew my mind. This is an old car with 171k miles and tired suspension and I was driving a road I have driven a million times in the last 15 years.

I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MUCH FUN AT NEAR LEGAL SPEEDS. I have never driven a car so fast on the route, left the braking so late or exited corners at such a high speed!!!

GTBooster is right in the other thread we met in. Below 4k the car drives like a family hatch and is perfect for every day use, pass 4K however and it becomes a different car I LOVE IT and its not mine :(

i love the roads around abbot, used tocain my ,mates vw golf gti around them and hitting dartmoor as well ah happy days

However, I just get to clean, service and occasionally drive. Got to say even the ST we test drove before settling on the GT was a smile creator. Maybe if we can get to a meet I can blag a ride in a GT4, just for scientific comparison you understand :P

LORD_ED, The roads round here a good, but to many speed cameras and nothing can beat a blast down a clear welsh A road
