hi all.

as i have found out that 8" spks will fit in the front doors.....now for the ppl who like to experiment,

would 6x9's fit in the doors of a celica gen 6??

obviously it needs sum adjustment, but has anyone herd of 6x9 in the doors?

or has anyone done this???

Don't think they will fit, the 8" will probably sound better anyway as most 6x9's are made for bassy sound only.

If you want really good sound you will need some 8" Component Speakers but you might knacker them cutting the metal out

I wouldn't waste your time if I were you... Round Speakers are always going to be better than oval Speakers!

Set of 6.5" or 8" Component Speakers are the way forward. If you want Bass, get an Amp and a couple of 10's for the boot - I'm sure Bass Junkies will be more than happy to help sort you out! If you want to do it properly, there's no point in doing it cheaply!

Good luck, which ever way you decide to go!

Im not bothered about an amp cos ive got the viper d2500.1 and for the sub heheh  ive got the MTX 9500-44

i just wanted the fronts to sound good.

but cheers tho, think i will go for 6.5 all round, front and back!

BUT

doesn't having Speakers in the rear builds bad?? ive heard that it effects the sound stage???

i think the more you have the more you will get!!!

I think that gen 6 celicas come with good Speakers as standard. once you use a good head unit they sound better instantly as the Toyota head units have duff amps. then add an ok sub and in my opinion youve got a great sound system.

I brought a 12" vibe active sub (everything built into the box in factory) for £81 on eBay, with the wires too. Sounds great!!!!!
