New Toy From Santa!

Hi All,

This year Santa has brought the GT some H4 Power bulbs.

I had a look at the car today to see how easy it is to fit, and it looks relativly easy to fit but there were several screws around the light fitting and I was not sure which ones to undo to get to the bulb out and replace it.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fit normal headlight bulbs to the 94-99 GT? Pictures would be a great help if possable.

Looks like I have to undo x2 small screws around the plastic casing and then the bulb will come out, but it was cold and I was not prepared to take it all apart without knowing exactly what I was up to.

Please can someone help, I want to fit my new toy ASAP. Cheers all, I hope everyone had a great christmas!

Did anyone else get anything interesting for the car from Santa this year?

Yeah I looked in what I thought was the user manual and I found it was the huge list of international dealers! So it seems I don't have the original manual, is there an online manual anywhere which I can referance?

i had no screws. i simply unplug the wiring , pull off the rubber dome cap thingy , twist the bulb about 1/4 turn and they pop out. look where the plug was facing before you remove them cos refitting can be fiddly, the wires arnt exactly long enough if the bulb is not fitted properly

oh and if they are h4 they wont fit , celicas take hb4 and hb3 bulbs

!Removed! Santa, got me the wrong F'ing bulbs, B*stard! Back to the drawing board in that case, will have to get him to exchange them for HB4. Cheers Booster!

Booster do you know what the various bulb types are as I think I will upgrade the whole lot when I get them exhanged.

Side lights = ?

Headlight = HB4?

Full Beam = HB3?

Fog lights = ?

if you get both hb4 and hb3 you will see which are which upon removal, 1 is 55w the other 65w

outside light is 55w inside light is 65w

fog lights 55w - these most likely 7968294231 on eBay

side lights 5w - probably 501's 4600127439 again eBay

Hay Leeky,

Yeah I know you and Cam were talking bulbs last week he was trying to get me to buy some, but my brother brought me some for christmas and I have been in bedford for the past week with the Mrs so could not get in on the bulb changing antics! When I get back I will change these bulbs for the correct ones and get the whole lot changed for blue effect bulbs all round incuding the fog lights as I think it would look a little wierd just doing the low beams on there own.

Will catch up when I get back in the new year and hopefully you can help me buy the right bulbs. Also I hear you have the exaust fitted now so does that mean you can take me out for a rag in the FOUR???

At the moment im trying to change the lower suspension arm.

Me and Charlie (Karma Supra) have been working on it most of today and looks like we will get it finished off tomorrow.

But yeah, once the suspension is all back together i'll pop over and take ya for a blat
