Has anyone made their own parcel shelf from MDF or another wood. I want to put Speakers on the parcel shelf and dont want to cut the standard one. Apart from making one, are there any other options.

When making one from MDF what width of wood should i use??

All help greatly appreciated!

alright mate. ive made 6 yaris shelfs for mates and various toc members. its pretty easy to do. get some 18mm MDF and draw round your original shelf. cut the holes in the shelf and place the shelf in your boot and close the lid. get in the back of the car and open the seats and draw round the pegs which the shelf and hinge on.

bore these out and put some small blocks of wood on the sides to level the shelf up and screw them on. cover the shelf with accoustic carpet. place in the boot and your done.
