What Would You Spend 6k On ?

Okay, funny how surfing the net leads you round when you should be going to bed.

I followed a linky thing to eBay from this forum..

..the car had a sunstrip with a web addy..

..I looked up the addy and saw sum car pics..

..then I found the forum, and this thread...

... http://www.ukcruzin.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2920

Now I am wondering what I would spend that amount of disposable readies on?

After 2 days in the GT in wales, probably a GT4 (okay Mr Booster, you got me hooked), Although I have always hankered after a Spitfire (Thing of beauty) or a Lotus (Did my YTS training at a Lotus specialist)

Deffo NOT the car in the pics, although I am sure it rocked its owners boat.

Cheers

Giles

lol still don't see how he spent 6k on that! Mechanic that did some work on my car has a Nova 2.0 16v hes spent around 3.5k on his and it looks alot better (Hate Novas personally)

If i had 6k i'd get ethier a GT4, MR2 Turbo or maybe a newish Golf Turbo.

:( I want a lot of things, but only have a finite amount of money. When I got the company car I gave the missus my car and we run it between us. She is a serial student with negligible income.

She has used some saving to buy her dream car - The GT and what we get for the golf will go back into that pot as it was overbudget.

My fun comes from driving it (very occasionally, when she is tired), fixing it up (I haven't tinkered with cars seriously since the Company thing and it's lease agreement) and also from seeing her happy! Lastly I also get to know a new bunch of people in the form of - You lot :D

So the GT4 will have to wait, until the lottery of some other kind benefactor comes along (Any donor project cars gratefully accepted  )

The 6K thing was a dream, I just could not see where he had spent it

With 6K I`d be on the look out for a mint ST185CS with low mileage. That`d leave a bit left over for a few nice mods.

Blimey. Thats a nice bit of money for mods, as a mint CS should be no more than 4k

thats a shame you cant get one. I suppose i just thought that if i could afford one being a 21 year old student.... I guess its just cuz your supporting your GF at the moment. :(

I remember being a student once, I had money in my pocket.

Now I have rent, electric, gas, water, insurances, loans, credit cards and very little left to myself :crybaby: . Also the love of my life likes to be kept in the style she thinks she should be accustomed. This baers no relation to our income bracket

Also no-one warned me about the little extras of real life like having to go and buy a new vacuum cleaner 'cause ours broke. When I was young I thought these things were miraculously replaced when they died

I earn 10 times what I did when I left school to join YTS and I have never had so little spare cash

Enjoy it whilst you can.
