1998 Sreg Avensis 1.6gs, Door Mirror, Driver Side

Dear All,

I just bought a Avensis, 1998 S reg, 1.6GS, hatchback. The door mirror on driver's side was broken and I need to replace the glass and the the sticker, but not the whole.

I went to Halfords and was told they did not supply this type of part. The toyota dealer is just a bit too far away. I wonder if anyone has the idea where I can buy the replacement galss with sticker. Or if you happen to have a spare one for sell?

I had this problem with another car (not my Toyota) and I searched for ages without any luck. In the end, a trip to the breakers for a whole mirror unit was the only answer. I'd try that or eBay for a whole mirror (about £50 new I should imagine - breakers should be a lot cheaper). Just don't even bother with the stick on plastic mirrors... pah! Totally crap Nobody appeared to sell just the mirror and that was on an S reg.
