It Was Cold This Morning

One of the many things I love about my Yaris is the remote central locking.

It was minus 5 degrees this morning and with a click of the button my door was unlocked.

No more lifting my skirt and peeing on the lock to de-ice it, very un-lady like!

:D

And what if you dont need a wee? Do you stand in the cold til you do?

Unlocking the door is fine.....

its when the frame freezes to the chassis that you are in trouble!

Had a Talbot Alpine (please don't laugh!) yaers ago. Used to pour de-icer on the key, then set fire to it!!! It worked every time! But might have been better if it had set fire to the heap, then I might have got the insurance and found something with less rust!

Say about 10 years ago there was around a 2 week period when it never raised above freezing - frost growing sideways of lamposts the works...

... I ended up buying two cups of tea from the services - one for me and one to pour over the fuel door to allow me to get some petrol in!
