Hi everyone.

INFO for all of you.

There is a problem with the headligths of the Avensis from 2003 (my car) to 2004 (some early units)the headlight is all ade off plastic and it melts, what you see that seems moist is really smoke from the melting plastic.

Go to you dealer an complain, because they will only change you the headlights if they have "moist".

The new headlights back side is all metal an no plastic, i had to change both headlights

Good luck to you all

well, not really. It is still all plastic, just with different protective coating. Your dealer will change the headlights for free if they see the problem. It is easily seen by checking the light, because the bulb casing becomes loose. This is where moisted comes in as well, which is why they look moisted. Aditionally, the bulb goes out so this is easy to diagnose.

i believe this was solved quite quickly in late 2003, although you might have bought earlier car later.

You dont really have to be worried if your car has it or not, because if it does, it already happened and you got new ones under warranty :-)

:D
