standard battery should be fine, you might want to get a power cap (1F should be enough)

im kind of new to this what is the power cap for??

Its a gizmo which stores charge from you Battery and supplies it to the amp when it needs it most. This can reduce or stop the headlights from going dull when the bass kicks in.

a 1F power cap is enough for 1000W RMS (not to be confused with Max Watts)

i allways put a heavy duty Battery on when upgrading to an amplified sterio system as well as putting a 1 farad cap on, this is only to make double sure the Battery dosen't loose any power when the sterio is cranked right up to vol 21-25 which in my car is about 1500 wats.

need any more pointers i will be logging on to this site every day.
