My mates running on kumho's aswel, very good price, not too sure which model his on it is v-grooved like toyo T1-S, but the grip is very good. I've also looked into the T1-R they are still very new, Im looking at getting a set of Yokohama's or Falken's!

195/50 Toyo T1s on my 15s and 205/40 Toyo T1s on my 17s. best tyres i have ever had, excellent in the dry and even better in the wet. highly recommended. also have 4 different tyres on the original 14s, one of which is a genuine Kwik-Fit branded tyre, totally useless in the wet and the dry!! the previous owner really really cared obviously.......

haha 4 different brand tyres? Must of been quite interesting in the wet? I've just been online and reading some reviews on the T1-S, A few people have commented on the tyre wear being very poor. Can you confirm this? Also 195/50 R15 or 195/45 R15, which would you recommend?

Currently using Goodyear Hydragrips, excellent in wet/dry, far better than the Dunlops that were on the car from new, ok in dry, wheel-spins and slides in wet (scary :censor: )!!!

They have worn faster than i though, but then i do drive bit mad at the best of times

Hi ant, do the T1-R's handle very differently to the T1-S? how is the wear? £33 each is a good deal, do you have the website for elite? anyone tried BF Goodrich tires??

Eagle F1's DS-2's all round. Much quieter than the cheap tyres I had on before. Grip quite well too! Just waiting for the summer to really test them.

HI MATE

I HAD AN AVENSIS AND I HAVE TRIED A FEW TYRES, TOYO PROXIS, FALKEN FK451, NANKANGS AND BF GOODRIDGE. HAVE TO SAY OUT OF ALL OF THEM I PREFERED THE BF'S. I CURRENTLY HAVE A 2003 COROLLA RUNNING ON 215/35/18'S ON FALKENS AGAIN. WHEN THE TIME COMES I WILL DEFFINENTLY GO FOR ANOTHER SET OF BF'S. GOOD WEAR AND GOOD GRIP IN WET AND DRY CONDITIONS, CANT ASK MORE THAN THAT. HOPE THIS HELPS

Yo Sui! the T1-R's handles just as well or even better on dry conditions than the old T1-S but as for wet roads, the T1-R is far better IMO as it has two more lines going round the tyre for the wetness to escape.

Just ordered a new set of tires. Going for Dunlop Direzza DZ101 195/45 R15! Thought they look interesting and got them for good price. Will write a review about the tires once i fit them. I think this post was very informative, especially for those who don't know what tires to go for (me)! Thanks ppl! I think there should be a permanent thread about tires where we can update regularly! What do you guys think? Admin?.........
