The answer is négative, but is this answer politic or a true answer? The future will tell...

thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately we won´t develop any engine tuning for Aygo with petrol engine.

The silencer has no influence on the engine spec. It influence sound and design only.

its probably the truth, i dont think you could get much more out of the aygo engine to be honest, and tuning it would defeat the objective of the aygo as an economical nippy car

If you take a look here, you can see the proto of the Citroën C1 CUP, it has the engine with 80 HP..., not a lot more, but...

and 80 HP/ 1000cc is not a lot at all, as even diesels have values like that and more.

Did anyone tried Iridium plugs yet?

Denso Iridium Power IKH20 plugs are special made for the 1KR-FE Toy engine

assuming the Aygo runs the same D4D lump as the yaris then there is a tuning box ready and off the shelf to hop that up

as for the rest then for now a custom filter and exhaust backbox is probably the best that can be done

Does n't the aygo diesel use detorqued (NEW WORD? ) Peugeot engine?

Wonder how much fuel the thing would use if it had say half a yaris motor with 50bhp(MIGHTY NOISE) should be a bit lighter too than 1.4hdi, though not sure about petrol motor as that is superlight(could put that in backpack as security measure when you leave the car :) )

The AYGO has the 1.4L HDi PSA-Ford engine, but with the same gearbox as the petrol Aygo.

In the AYGO the HDi is only 58HP in stead of the 70HP engine in the Citroën C2, C3, The Peugeot 206, 207, 1007 and Ford Fiesta. Because of the torque they dropped the power down in the Aygo, C1 107, otherwise the gearbox could not manege.
