Noisey...

When clearing 100mph the noise in the car is extremely loud. the noise comes from the engine and is quiet deafening. i noticed there is no bonnet insulation(is this normal?) could there be anything else to do(other than drive slower!) which could cut this noise down.

it's completely normal to not have bonnet insulation as most people rip it off at the first chance as it allows the engine bay to stay that little bit cooler.

asfor the noise? you'll have to be a bit more specific

i suppose its just the engine at 4-5K screaming. it just sounds very loud compared to being in other cars. but there is a metallic vibrating noise but i think that is the intercooler nuts rattling...

I hope you didn`t buy a GT4 for quiet motoring.

I`ve removed the insulation under my bonnet, and the interior of the car. Makes engine noise a tad loud at higher revs. that coupled with tyre noise, wind noise and a glorious wailing exhaust is pure music.

Check your exhaust mainfold, is known for some of the nuts to come lose and cause said vibrating noise.

yeah cheers i will check the manifold tomorrow at work and see whats up. To be honest the noise gives me a buzz... but when im with my wife or people who dont loves cars its just a noise tothem... thanks for info
