Had A Bit Of An Accident In The Celica

Wasn't my fault though - it was the wifes!!

We just got ready to go out to a friends for the night - took me ten minutes took the wife 3 hours! So we're running 15 minutes late or so - I grabbed a couple of bottles of wine and we rushed out to the car. I was driving, so once my wife had got in the car I passed her the first bottle of wine which she put between her legs - I then passed her the second bottle of wine which she went to put infront of the first. As the bottles hit each other the bottom fell off the second bottle! :ffs: One whole bottle of red wine emptied itself on to my wifes trousers and my car seat! She ran in to the house to get changed and came back wit a towel but by then all the wine had soaked into the chair. We just left it and went in the focus instead

The next day I took the seat out and it spent the whole day infront of an industrial unit heater which sorted it out! I was worried that it would stain but it now looks cleaner than the rest.

Bad thing is my windows haven't steamed up all winter - but they do now :ffs:

at least the car's in one piece, i had a moment of panic there!

all you need to do is have the heaters on full whenever your out in the celica, and you might as well take the chance to clean the rest of the interior whilst the windows are steaming lol

Grounds for divorce!

I almost lost an entire barrel of beer (72 pints) in my boot the other week. Half an hour after I had delivered it and set it up in the cellar, the thing exploded. If it had gone off in the car, it would probably have been a write off!

At least you'll have very clean seats! :D

Try going back to where the bottle came from and kicking up a stink. At the very least they should replace it but I would also be pushing for the cost of getting the car proffesionally cleaned :)

Obviously you would have to get the whole interior done otherwise you would end up with a clean corner!

PS Don't drive around with the windows up and the heater on. If you are stopped the cops will have you down the nick in a flash, what with the smell that will hit them when you wind your window down

Can't really take the bottle back as it was an xmas pressent!! It was red wine and we don't drink red so we thought we'd take it with us!

My Seats are actually pretty spotless so it doesn't stand out or anything - just need the carpets cleaning!

The smell was pretty fruity the next day - but since taking it out and drying it out it just smells a bit acholic in there - probably from the carpet now! Windows are getting better - been having window half way down with heater on full
