i notice my car seems to loose torque for a while when i get to around 5k on the revs... is this normal

Was talking about it with some mates , who think it might be amapping fault or something any ideas?

The engine is mint, once the power / torque loss is for a miniscual momment has ended its back to full whak?, what do u think?

It should pick up power once it hits 5100rpm, as the ACIS kicks in, not go down in power.

Complicated to explain,

Acoustic Control Induction System, (ACIS). It uses valves inside the intake manifold to adjust intake runner length, which in turn allows the engine to draw large volumes of air/fuel mixture into the combustion chamber for improved torque.

I'm guessing there is a momentary pause before the ACIS kicks in.

Can't remember if mine used to do that or not. Mines been chipped, so it certainly doesn't do it now. Used to have a flat spot at 4000rpm though
