"Book" price on the 140 for a 99 plate is between £5-6000 plus it has the premium and dynamic pack so that appears to be a good price.

Service History? UK Car?

I wouldn't personally say the price is anything special.

This time of year you need to knock roughly £500 of a car of that value to sell it.

Any things like Celicas/Supras/Skylines etc are taking quite a tumble at the moment as there are just thousands of cheap imports coming over again and again which is driving down the value.

I'd say it was the just on the cheap side of 'about right'. Remember it's one of the very first of the Gen7's, so that might have a bearing on it.

Certainly is below av. mileage, but go and have a look. Satisfy yourself of all the usual stuff - Service History, HPI, condition.

Although Celica's as less easy to find than Focus', say, there's enough around that you should take your time to find a minter........there's enough of 'us' around who look after our cars for you to surely find one soon.

Happy hunting!

Would any of you guys who own one say they are spacious? Is there room in the back?

Would you perhaps fit a child seat in the back?

I might go and have a look at it.

Room in the back of the Gen7 is reasonable. It's best to consider it a 2+2. I wouldn't know about the baby seat and couldn't really hazard a guess as the rear seats are 'bucket' seats to give more headroom.

I do, however, occasionally have to ferry around the Mother-in-Law so the Missus sits in the back - she's about 5'8" and she's reasonably comfortable for journeys up to an hour providing the front seat is brought forward halfway.

6 footers are a problem and even me at 5'10", my head is scraping the rear window.

If lugging things around is your thing, it's got a pretty spacious boot - not terribly deep, but we can do a £100 supermarket shop and get everything in no problem. With the seats down I can get an 18" framed mountainbike (with wheels off) in the boot.

For a couple it's a very practical car........and probably for a family with toddlers or up to 5yr old kiddies.
