Steering Problem - Any Help?

The steering on my yaris just doesnt feel right. Its become really heavy and any slight bumps in the road are throwing the steering wheel all over the place, Im having to hold it quite tightly to keep it straight. It also feels to be pulling to the side, and even when I come to a stop my wheel will turn on its own. Also, I find that when turning corners at speed I have to pull my wheel back round to straighten it up, it doesnt do it by itself anymore.

I assumed the problem was the tracking so I took it in to Toyota and they did a 4 wheel alignment, but it feels no different at all.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? Im going to take it back into Toyota but its really hard explaining the problem as Im not that technically minded when it comes to this sort of thing.

Cheers

Ben :help:

I'd have said tracking too - take it to an idependant - most of the places around me do a free check - you only pay if it needs adjusted.

Then wheel balancing, tyre pressures - get the front wheels off and have a look at the tread etc ...

Ok I will do that. Ill get the other areas you mentioned checked as well. I just hope I can get it sorted because its a really annoying, niggly problem.

Thanks

Ben
