Optional Sub Woofer. Is It Worth It?

I know its a bit late now but i have ordered a corolla T3 and also went for the optional subwoofer.

Any idea if its any good?

Wots the wattage and does it make a noticable difference to the sound system

You can also get tweeters for the system as well, which I am considering. The downside is that while they only cost about 40 quid - installation is over 100! But if anyone can say if they help the sound, please add your 2 cents.

I believe that sony and infinity offer a solution, they offer tweeters that are only to be used as add on's to existing car Speakers, the sony i have heard mixed things about, but the infinity's are top quality, i believe that they cost around £75 fitted. I know sextons were doing them for a short while as were Halfords but then i quit so i dont know any more sorry lol

Have to add my 2 cents reply, the sound the Speakers give out are ok , but since i changed the front Speakers and added a sub in the boot, no way are they going back in until i sell me car

i tried to get the specs for the toyota sub.. but they were a bit sketchy !!

Any opinion if the tweeters do much? - I do like the idea of them being integrated into the door.

couldn't say.. as every car i've had has been fitted with seperate tweeters, so i have no comparison.

The tweeters will make the sound span across the dashboard and onto the windowscreen, thus giving a much better soundstage.

There's no point in having tweeters pointing at your ankles to hear the sound, unless your ears are down there...

Hi, I have since 1 month the original Toyota after-market subwoofer in my Corolla M-MT. It's a subw. Matsu****a Elect. (Panasonic) with about 120 WATT and 81db sensitivity,and a diameter of cm.13.

This subwoofer was installed under the driver-seat. It sounds as a LOUDNESS. It is not comparable to the bass sound of a great subwoofer (about cm.20-30) installed in the rear boot. I repeat: this subwoofer sounds only the loudness.
