other then the lowering springs theselves is there any other components that i may require?

which are the best to get for a st185? and where to look(eBay i expect)?

also wheel spacers, are they worth having or do they not make much difference? are they quite noticeable?

thanks very much

Just my opinion. But i`ve got spax springs 35mm drop which i find are just about bearable on our cruddy roads. and you would probably need to get uprated shocks if yours are getting tired, otherwise the car will feel a bit over sprung. Also you would need to have the camber adjusted on the front. Which would mean buying camber bolts as the 185 isn`t blessed with adjustable front camber as standard. I got some whiteline ones from FENSPORT. If you`ve got lots of money you might want to consider something like TEIN adjustables. I got my SPAX ones from spax themselves. Wouldn`t bother with wheel spacers personaly. Once the cars been lowered the arches look suitably filled.

where do these camber bolts go then daktari ? i think the 185 set up is very similar to the 202 is it not ?

found this looks fairly easy to do.

Yep. They go in the bottom one of the two bolts that fix the strut to the hub. Thus giving you up to 1.5 degrees of camber adjustment. They have an ecentric shoulder on the bolt that moves the hub when you turn the bolt. Full instructions provided.

Although they were written by an australian who couldn`t give a XXXX about clear and concise.

I was under the impression that the 202 camber was adjusted by the through bolt between the lower arm and the subframe. Same principle tho.

Just had a look at the link again. 4 hours per side????? Thats half hour to do the job and 3 1/2 for the barbie then.

i'm running a 30mm drop on eibachs. very good.

wheels spacers look better - try a set of deep dish instead imho wider wheels grip better.
