Just Bought An Aygo

Recommended Posts

Just placed an a deposit for an Aygo+ in carbon quartz with AC. I'm going to be learning in this car so is it a good car to learn in?

Any help would be appreciated

Havent heard of any of the members on here learning in one so far, but I imagine it would be a nice little car to learn in. The dials are nice and clear and the 1.0L is nippy yet small so it's economical and not too powerful at the same time. Not sure how it stands on the rear visibility tho - on the Yaris it's a bit restricted but you get used to it over time.

Show us photo's when you get it too ;)

well i passed my test and went and bought one of these and it was first thing i drove after a month of passing, so i yeh i basically had to teach myself again.

its quite easy to drive, the clutch as in all cars will take time to get used to, but finding biting point with it held on handbrake is easy as u can feel the car sink, parking is a bit difficult especially foward parking in a bay, as u cant see the lines over the bonnet, but you should be fine, haven't reversed parked in it ever so i cant say but rear visibility is good as long as you position your mirror properly and dont have anything on your rear parcel shelf. general driving is fun and best of all safe, it gives impression its fast but its not, so you'll be fine. also the seats are not height adjustable which can be annoying when ur starting out if your short, but you'll get used to it, or just use a cushion!

I'm 6 foot 1 so the height isn't a problem. The car that I've been in most is my dads landrover defender which isnt the easiest car to learn in. First time i drove that i thoght all cluthhes required you to be a bodybuilders.

lol thing is u can be too tall for this car, as ive found out, even though im 6ft the minute i put the sun visor down i cant see jack, i have to crouch over the steering wheel to see, so best just keep a pair of your finest aviators to hand.

Will do I've had a test drive and i was fine in that. Hmmmmm this is an excuse to go out and buy new sunglasses.... as all mine are wrap around ones
