If you want a proper movie classic...

The DB5 from Thunderball and Goldfinger is going on auction at RM Auctions' 7th Annual Vintage Motor Cars Auction on January 20 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Although, it will go for a touch more than 8 grand... nearer 1.2 million predicted!

It'd be in it's own "geek" box at the other end of uncool.

It's historic, but I'd not want one cause it's rubbish...

The *ONLY* reason you want it is because of a (lame) film .. :ffs:

My point too... yet I get told I have no taste. Hehe

Is everyone seriously trying to say that if is wasn't for 'Back to the Future' I II III etc you would buy this car!?! Crazy

Yes actually :D

Its low wide and pointy, the fact that it was flop and there are hardly any about adds to the apeal..

If the film didn't exist they would probably be cheaper to buy though :(

If I bought one I would keep it stock...

Anyway how can you same its a lame film!!!!!!!!!!:blink: you have even less taste then Charis!!!!

And these people would only try and stick fake guns and ejector seats to it :(

I think its cool as.... and if I had the money to waste (because as much as I'd love a DeLorean, it would be a waste of money!) I'd so buy one, just to say I had one...

Plus not only is it in BTTF but also in my favourite film of all time, The Wedding Singer.

Its just a cool cool car, sub zero on the Top Gear wall, but you'd probably never buy one!

if it were on the cool wall on top gear, it would have its own box like the DB9. i would give my left arm for one, although i wouldnt be able to close the door, so ill give my right arm. i would live a RHD one but they cost mega bucks

another fact, it is also the only car from a company in the world produced that wasnt painted.

It'd be in it's own "geek" box at the other end of uncool.

The 2CV is allso historic, and I don't want one of those either ..

BTTF is my favourite trillogy and they are up in the top greatest films of all time, due to acting, story, scenes etc etc.

the film is not the only reason for me wanting it, it is a cool car imo, it shouts 80's, it shouts bold, it shouts origionality. it has uber cool doors and i think the front looks aggresive. who caes if its rubbish? surely thats not what motoring is all about, for me it isnt.

it is clearly a like it or hate it car

Oh dear, I'm on a forum full of kids with no taste in films, I've seen the first two (first one far to often) .. and never seen the third. How can it be your favorite with films like Goodfellas, Casino, Platoon, Ferris Bullers Day Off (joke - another rubbish film) and Res' of Dogs out there.

Im sorry, it's on a par with Fast and Furious .. it's a rubbish film, with rubbish plot/acting and it'll make the gereration of 15 years olds at the time want to go out and have the car that's in the film.

I'll guarentee there will be a massive influx of kiddies in orange cars with rubbish graphics. Oh, look what was in Maccy D's carpark .. the case for the prosecution rests.

fair enuf you may not like the films, but u cant say they have rubbish plots and acting when u have stars like chris lloyd and michael fox, the plot is complicated with twists. to me, any film with a decent plot isnt rubbish, just maybe not my taste.

Ha ha ha ..

Plot 1. Let go into the past and have some kid p*ss about with his parents and therfore he may not exist.

Plot 2. Damn, done the past bit, we'll have him go into the future and then someone from there go into the past and we can re-use the first films footage.

Plot 3. Young Guns 2 did rather well, should we do a cowboy film?

Plot 4. We've run out of ideas for time travel .. lets have an orange supra racing a 355 ..

We are all allowed our opinions, it's just that you are wrong and I'm right :lol: :P

Bla Bla Bla

Karma Dude you clearly have good taste, ref to your current collection.

Are you going for it? Irrespective of what others are saying the car would turn more heads and cause more discussion that most other cars. Clearly a marmite car

Not having the cash to go for it (unless I have just won the Euromillions lottery) If I got it I would drive it no way would I store it. I also realise that I would be spending time and money fixing it but hey I'm no rocket scientist.

Go-on go-on go-on get it....
