Auxillary Belt

How hard/easy is it to change an auxillary belt on an Avensis CDX Saloon? Toyota want £100 to fit however the part is only £21

If it's a 1.6 or 1.8 petrol it's extremely easy. Sketch or photo the belt layout and there's a cast hex on the belt tensioner. Put a spanner on the tensioner hex and pull to give the belt some slack and then remove

it is that easy, done mine no problem. Find the belt lenth on the old belt to ensure you get the right oen as there are 2 lenths.

It's a 2 litre, I've just had a look (belt is huge)

What tools will I need to do this? I haven't worked on a car in ten years so forgive me if I am asking silly questions

Has anyone got any pictures or a haynes manual they can scan??

I don't want to start the job and find that I can't finish it

Still need advice - 2 litre cdx 51 avensis. I've just found that they do not do a haynes manual for my car :angry:
