Washer Fluid Indicator

I'm very satisfied with my car but I've got recently a strange problem.

My washer fluid is suddennly finishing at the middle of the road and I don't get any indication about it on the dashboard. What could be the problem here. The indicator bulb is working for sure - I see it when I set the ignition. How much fluid is left in the system when this indicator turns ON usually?

I'll appretiate any help - it's impossible to drive in Norway without washing fluid.

I must say i never realised it had a warning light for the washer fluid, mine finished 2 times already and didnt saw any light coming on.

When you say a light comes on at ignition - are you sure you not confusing it with the coolant level indicator.

I am not aware of a warning light for washer fluid.

I would suggest just topping it up every week or two so you always know it is full.

I am not sure how big the tank is on the Avensis but on my old Celica it used to be about 8 litres and I only ever re-filled it once.
