Rear Wiper

Hi again,

I'm quite happy with the coverage of the single wiper on the front windscreen, but.........

although the rear wiper works fine, I find that I wish it would clear more of the offside part of the rear window... particularly seeing that the offside area of the rear screen gives vision to the more important area of the road.

Has anyone else a view on this?

And has anyone found any sort of solution?

chappy on the citroen c1 owners club says he has changed his for a 14"blade which gives a better view, was going to try it too when I get round to it, though I guess the blade will lose contact at the top of the glass because of its curvature, not sure whether its the same on the aygo, if its flatter even better :)

Hi , after a bit of investigation and been told by a motor factor you wont find a bigger rear blade for an Aygo !!! ..as I like challenged I found one !!

Its available from Halfords, their own brand ( 16" (400mm) W22 Rear wiper ) cost approx £6 fits perfectly.

Bosch list one but its not available at Halfords so I haven't tried that model.

W22 is Used on a Citroen C5 hatchback 03-04, Peugeot 306 3/5 doors 01/99 onwards etc etc

It also wipes the whole 16" of Aygo glass perfectly ..even with the top curve of the rear window.

Thanks for the tip about Halfords W22, I bought and fitted one yesterday (it was raining and it works a treat), this has to be the easiest mod to carry out on the Aygo

Halfords will wonder what the rush in on W22, and get a load more in all of a sudden because the "computer says so" ;-)

Yep, fitted a W22 to my rear wiper the other week. It's only a couple of inches or so extra but definately makes a descernable difference.

Is the W22 still the correct wiper to get for the rear of an Aygo? Using the Halfords wiper selector for C5 and 306 did bring up the W22, but it's 17" not 16".

The Aygo wiper sweeps the wrong way for RHD, a larger blade is the only option.

Thanks for the reply. So is the 17" still the one to get or should it really be 16"? Have Halfords resized the W22 or did the original poster make a typo?

EDIT: Issue sorted. Went to Halfords and bought a W22. It's 16" as the OP specified, which means the Halfords website has a typo.
