Cd Player Locked?

Hi guys

Proud new owner of a 2002 Yaris here. Only problem I have so far is that I can't get any CDs into the CD player. There seems to be small metal bar in the centre of the slot which is obviously the reason I can't get the CD in the slot. Its like the CD player had locked itself??!!! Any ideas??

Hi and welcome to TOC .....

The CD player can not lock itself and from what you have descirbed it sounds as if the cd player has not been fitted properly i.e the previous owner had an aftermarket CD player and has put the old one back in it's place but not fitted it correctly, or the cd player has simply fallen from its mount.

To find out it sounds like you will have to remove the dash.

I will find a guide for you to do this and post it on here !

I've take it you've checked there's not already a cd in there....

And make sure the ignition is switched on as it will only eject
