What Sat Nav Model Do I Have?

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out what model sat nav i have installed in a UK 2004 Avensis T4

I was thinking it was a TNS300, however I'm not sure. :help:

Let me try and describe the best i can what i have, and hopefully someone will know the answer.

*I have a DVD based system

*The DVD drive is located under the passenger rear seat.

*The Display is in the centre dash pop up TV unit (you turn the car on the screen rotates 90 degrees to be visible)

*I have a remote control located in a controller caddie next to the handbrake, it also takes batteries in order to work out of the caddie via I.R (like a TV would do)

*It has voice controls and voice guidance, it also has a full colour screen, which can be split into 2 to allow 2 different views of the maps.

*It has a "Info" section that displays Fuel Range / Fuel Consumption / MPG etc.etc. It also has a maintenance log and a calendar IIRC.

*If i go to "Menu" then "DVD" then it displays that the DVD data is "2004-2005 Ver.1"

Can anyone please tell me what unit i have and also, if there are any update maps and if there are what would the latest version be.

Would it me better if i take some photos???

Many thanks, and i hope that i have made sense! :)

The fact that is DVD based means you have the TNS300. Your manual should tell you which one you have anyway. :bookworm:

The TNS200 was/is CD based and was/is located in the boot. ;)

My Avensis T4 53 model has a CD it is installed under ther passenger seat. It is the TNS200. The later 2004 models came out with the TNS300 DVD.

Thats the full colour map sat nav its an optional extra, costs in the region of 750quid when the car was brought new. Just looking at all the avensis stuff i've got it dont give a model number its just says tns 300 standered fit to t3-s t4 t-spirit And the full colour map is a optional extra.

Hi,

There is a more recent disc avaliable, but not much has changed, I got the 2004-2005 v2 part no. 08927-00971 and found it had more recent roads, rondabouts and our estate is now on it, and a no right turn where as the old v1 disc told me to turn right ant the bottom of my street. PM if you want more info as to where I got this disc for £50.00 inc p+p (retail is £224.00)

Hi

I have a 2005 Tspirit with the full colour map system,it has the 2004-2005 v2 disk in. Is this the latest disk, as there is no M6 toll and various other roads on it, or has there been a new 2006 version released. If so does anyone know were I can get one and at what cost. Also are the disks different for the Turn by Turn and Full colour Map system.

Thanks

Simon
