Service And Tyres (again!)

Had my RAV (03 D4D GX) serviced for 'his' 30,000 mile / 3 year check (£120 excluding club discount, impressed that the car inside and out was gleaming when it was handed back!) and needed to get two new front tyres and the front brake blocks are 80% worn.

Being just after Chrimbo and all, I really could not afford to get the TOYO tyres (quoted at £220 for two from Plymouth Toyota Garage) , and have got two General Grabbers UHP tyres instead (They were £49 each and came to £130 including fitting and clips etc)

They look very rugged and I was informed by the guy, they are quite new out.

I will let you all know how they are and how they wear, unless someone on here has an opinion?

I find that the main dealers do not give the best prices on tyres . Better to use a specialist firm e.g Black Circles in Plymouth

Your Fitting Centre: Plymouth, Millbay Road

Toyo TAA 11 (Rav 4) 235/60 R16 H

Quantity Price Total

2 £98.22 £196.44

Total: (all incl.) £196.44

I used PROTYRE GUPA-P in Coxside. If these tyres are OK, I will use them again, if not, I will be going to the TOYO ones, as long as its not the month after Chrimbo when they need replacing!
